I have lived in South Tyneside since I was 10 years old. I have two grown up children, one living in Australia and one in Canada, and four grandchildren. Prior to my retirement I worked for Â鶹ÊÓƵ, as Mayor's Secretary. I particularly enjoy my involvement on the governing bodies of three of our primary schools and having been a UNISON shop steward for many years, I was the Chair of the Human Resources Committee. Local History is another of my interests, so being on the Boards of Beamish Open Air Museum and Bede's World is really good.
